Коммутационный прибор PowerBox for PCMflash предназначен для подключения блока управления к загрузчику программного обеспечения «на столе» и автоматической (если поддерживает загрузчик и адаптер J2534) или ручной коммутации напряжений питания и формирование сигналов RESET, BOOT, CNF1, GPT1, GPT2, WATCHDOG.
Совместим в автоматическом режиме с загрузчиками, которые используют для управления:
BOOT - OEM12, 12 контакт OBD-II.
Управление подачей питания - L-LINE, 15 контакт OBD-II.

Прибор имеет встроенные токоограничивающие резисторы на сигнальных линиях:
Шина CAN имеет терминальный резистор 120 Ом.
Для работы с процессорами Renesas, а также Tricore с GPT прибор оснащён переключателем, изменяющим уровни сигналов 3,3 вольта и 5 вольт.
Прибор оснащен многоцелевыми разъемами, что позволяет гибко производить подключения.
USB разъем предназначен для подключение к компьютеру. Разъем требует подключение при задействовании встроенного преобразователя USB – UART, для обновления программного обеспечения прибора PowerBox, а также при программировании процессоров марки Renesas.
DC разъем предназначен для питания встроенной схемы прибора, а также подключаемого ЭБУ. Рекомендуются к применению только качественные блоки питания с выходным напряжением 12 вольт. При чтении пароля, когда это невозможно на автомобиле, нужно учитывать, что высоковольтные преобразователи в ЭБУ при старте потребляют достаточно большой ток, что может привести к срабатыванию защиты или даже вызвать к поломку блока питания.

PowerBox for PCMflash
The PowerBox for PCMflash switching device is intended for connecting the control unit to the software loader “on the table” and automatic (if it supports the loader and the J2534 adapter) or manual switching of supply voltages and generating RESET, BOOT, CNF1, GPT1, GPT2, WATCHDOG signals.
It is compatible in automatic mode with bootloaders, which are used for control:
BOOT - OEM12, 12 pin OBD-II.
Power Management - L-LINE, 15 pin OBD-II.
Important:
The basic set of cables are not supplied. Buy DB15-pin cable - link.
To work with 71 PCMflash modules, the BOOT switch must be in the AUTO position. (The BOOT indicator should be lit when power is supplied to the computer), the GPT switch is in the 5-volt position.
In MANUAL mode - it is necessary to supply power with a switch to the PowerBox, and not from an external source.
In GPT mode, it allows you to work with 3.3v, 5V and 12v signals.
Governing bodies:
The device is equipped with three switches to ensure operation in different modes.
Switch - POWER, power management.
The device has three modes of power supply to the computer:
- OFF, off, allows you to remove all power and control signals from the IDC-26 and DB-15 connectors.
- MANUAL, on, supplies power to the VECU and VKEY terminals, as well as to the control outputs, depending on the selected tactics.
-AUTO, automatic control, in this mode, power management is performed by the bootloader with the L-Line signal (15 pin OBD-II).
BOOT switch, simultaneous control of BOOT, RESET and CNF1 signals (3.3 volts):
- OFF, off, allows you to remove all control signals from the DB-15 connector.
- MANUAL, on, pulls RESET and BOOT to the signal minus, and CNF1 to +3.3 volts.
-AUTO, automatic control, in this mode, the BOOT, RESET and CNF1 signals are simultaneously controlled by the bootloader (12 pins OBD-II, OEM12).
For the built-in generator to operate with 71 PCMflash modules, the BOOT switch must be in the MANUAL or AUTO position.
The device has built-in current-limiting resistors on the signal lines:
-RESET– 5.1 KOhm (in earlier versions up to s / n: 2050 510 Ohm was set)
-BOOT - 510 Ohm
-CNF1 - 220 Ohm
The CAN bus has a 120 ohm terminal resistor.
To work with Renesas processors, as well as Tricore with GPT, the device is equipped with a switch that changes the signal levels of 3.3 volts and 5 volts.
Connectors
The device is equipped with multi-purpose connectors, which allows flexible connections.
The USB connector is for connecting to a computer. The connector requires a connection when using the built-in USB-UART converter to update the PowerBox software, as well as when programming Renesas brand processors.
The DC connector is designed to power the integrated circuit of the device, as well as the connected computer. Only high-quality power supplies with an output voltage of 12 volts are recommended for use. When reading the password, when this is not possible on the car, it must be borne in mind that the high-voltage converters in the computer consume a sufficiently large current at startup, which can lead to protection tripping or even cause damage to the power supply.
J2534 connector is designed to connect the same name interface with OBD-II connector.

Indicators:
An LED next to the 5V / 3.3V switch indicates the presence of 5V or 3.3V voltage.
The VECU, VKEY LED indicates the presence of VECU and VKEY voltage.
A 12V LED indicates the presence of supply voltage.
The BOOT LED indicates the presence of a 3.3 volt voltage at the CNF1 output, pull-ups to the minus on BOOT and RESET, and also indicates the GPT mode (lit - 71 module \ off - 53 module).
